**All CPR and First Aid courses target various learning styles and are taught through discussion, video and hands-on practice. CPR certification good for one (1) year; first aid good for two (2) years. Participants receive book, skill instruction cards and first aid kit. Refreshments provided.

 First Aid-only (4hrs)

Participants learn to recognize and safely respond to emergencies, as well as provide basic care for injuries and sudden illnesses until professional responders arrive. The fee for this course is $35.

Adult CPR-only (4hrs)

Participants learn how to recognize and safely respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies of adults (ages 13 and up). The fee for this course is $35. Adult CPR and First Aid fee is $47*Adult CPR/AED fee $41 **Adult CPR/First Aid and AED fee $54

 Adult CPR Review (2hrs)

For participants who have a cortication that is current but will expire soon.

The fee for this course is $25. With AED, $37 (3hrs)

 Adult and Child CPR-only (4hrs)

Participants learn how to recognize and safely respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies of adults and children ages one to 12. The fee for this course is $42. Adult/Child CPR and First Aid fee is $54. (6hrs)

 Infant and Child CPR-only (4hrs)

Participants learn how to recognize and safely respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies of infants and children ages birth to 12. The fee for this course is $40.Infant/Child CPR and First Aid fee is $52

 Infant, Child and Adult CPR-only (4hrs)

Participants learn how to recognize and safely respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies of people of all ages (infants, children and adults).

The fee for this course is $45. Adult/Infant/Child CPR and First Aid fee is $61

Babysitter's Training (7hrs and 30min)

 In this class 11* to 15 year olds learn to take seriously the responsibility of babysitting. This fun and informative class dedicated to targeting various learning styles, is taught through discussion, video and hands-on activities. Each student receives their own first aid kit and a Babysitter's handbook that provides information on being prepared, responsible and professional; also child development, communication skills, injury prevention, recognizing and responding to emergencies and first aid (choking, rescue breathing and bandaging), as well as basic child care skills--all of which can be useful at any stage of their lives. Successful** participants earn a Red Cross Babysitter's Training completion card. Potential babysitters should come to class prepared with paper, pencil and lunch. Snack provided. The fee for this course is $40 per child.

*Students must be 11 years old by the time the course ends to be eligible to receive completion certificate.

 **Successful participants will be respectful, good listeners and able to follow instructions with minimal redirection due to challenging attitudes and/or behaviors. Students exhibiting excessive uncooperative and/or disruptive behavior will not receive a completion certificate and the class fee will not be refunded.

When I'm in Charge (3hrs)

In this class 8 to 11 year olds, will learn how to respond safely to a variety of situations when direct parent supervision is unavailable.

Discussion topics include:

The importance of sharing their feelings with parents about being “in charge”.

Responsibility and parent expectations.

Gun and Internet safety.

Fire and gas safety.

Safe responses to phone calls or visitors.

Personal safety and first aid situations.

Each student receives their own first aid kit and participation guide, phone message and note pads, as well as emergency contact, rules and responsibilities, and fire escape plan forms. Parents are encouraged to attend the final half-hour of the class to watch the safety video. Snack provided. The fee for this course is $22 per child.

Age to Stay Home Alone - It is unlawful in Oregon to leave a child under the age of 10 unattended in or at any place for such period of time as may be likely to endanger the health or welfare of a child. Therefore it is important that the parent/guardian to knows (no matter how old the child) how long their he/she can safely and responsibly handle being without supervision. Basic Aid Training (BAT) 7hrs 

In this class nine and 10 year olds learn how to recognize and avoid potentially harmful situations, treat common injuries and respond to emergency situations. This fun and informative class dedicated to targeting various learning styles, is taught through discussion, video and hands-on activities. Participants will learn how to get help, rescue breathing and conscious choking response skills, as well as first aid for burns, cuts, scrapes and bites. Fire escape plans and poison prevention will also be discussed. This course meets many requirements of the Cub Scouts Readyman Badge requirement. Each student receives their own first aid kit and participation guide. Snack provided. The fee for this course is $35 per child.
